I'm all about faith, family, food, finances, and investing in things that will create greater FREEDOM in my and other people's lives.
Learning and reading didn't always come easy to me. I've always had to work extra hard in school and to figure new things out. But once I understand and commit to doing something I'm all in.
That means I have no problem asking questions or for help when I don't understand. It's a skill that's great for interviewing our guests.
Keeping my word and doing things with integrity is HIGHLY important to me.
FAMILY, SERVICE, & GROWTH
I'm the 2nd oldest in my family, with 3 brothers and 2 sisters. My Mom is from Tonga and and my dad is a third generation Okinawan American. That makes me a half Tongan and half Okinawan American, born and raised in Hawaii.
After high school I attended BYU and served a 2 year service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in California.
In 2005 I married my best friend, Alana and since then I've worked with special need adults, as a caregiver, as a mentor for troubled youth, as a server and delivery driver for my wife's family's restaurant, in youth corrections, and as a money coach and independent contractor for a financial education company. Today, I'm a full-time trader and on the side I audit the government to make sure money is going to it's rightful owners.
Along the way I've become passionate about personal growth, investing in the right kind of education, and understanding people from all walks of life.
My wish for all of us is to be able to enjoy a little more freedom every day.
One of my core beliefs is that joy comes from recognizing God's hand in our lives.
I'm passionate about looking for, finding, and creating beauty and joy in everything life brings.
I believe that while empowering others is noble and worthwhile, it’s equally important to invest in empowering ourselves. By doing so, we can step into the role of the hero in our own stories, making the most of our time, energy, resources, and experiences.
I’ve always been curious about how things connect and why they matter. Even as a 7-year-old, I convinced my neighborhood friends to research animals for a mini animal encyclopedia I wanted to create.
My love of learning often got me in trouble— I'd often get caught trying to read while doing my chores or when I was supposed to be sleeping. And my mom would often tell me to, "Put down that book and go play outside for a little while".
Growing up, my life was filled with constant change. I attended 11 schools. My family moved frequently while my Dad served in the Army.
Being “the new girl” taught me to step outside my comfort zone, build friendships quickly, and embrace life’s challenges.
Family has always been at the heart of my story. At 11, I became the oldest of four when my parents divorced, a role that grew even larger when my mom remarried, making me the oldest of eight. By the time my youngest sibling was born, I was 18 and preparing to leave Hawaii for college. My experiences with my family—including a brother with Down Syndrome—taught me resilience, empathy, and the power of showing up for those you love.
Since then, I’ve immersed myself in learning and teaching, I married my best friend when I was only 19 years old, and I enjoy sharing my Hawaiian, Chinese, Filipino, and Puerto Rican heritage (especially through food!).
I've also owned a handmade paper flower business, My Paperblooms Aplenty, helped run my Dad's restaurant, helped my mom with her childcare business, and partnered up with Sione in his entrepreneurial ventures.
I could easily be considered a pro at supporting and empowering others and someone who has needed to work harder at making sure I have systems in place to make time to invest in myself and my own dreams.
Through all these experiences, I’ve come to value the practice of looking for the lessons and blessings in every circumstance. Life isn’t always easy, but I believe each challenge and opportunity holds the potential to help us grow into our best selves, live our best lives, and make the most of the gifts we’ve been given.

A few years ago, we found ourselves teetering on the edge of burnout. Every ounce of energy went into supporting others—helping them feel more empowered, increasing their capacities, and creating more freedom in their lives.
But while we poured into everyone else, we were depleting the time, energy, and resources we needed to invest in our own freedom, growth, and dreams. Any spare moment was spent trying to optimize processes just to keep up, but it was never enough. We knew something had to change, but we felt stuck.
We dreamed of a life where personal growth didn’t feel overwhelming or like it came at the expense of our well-being or ability to support the people around us. We wanted to empower ourselves, pursue our own goals, and live in alignment with our values—all while continuing to uplift others.
But no matter how hard we tried, we hit the same roadblocks:
We knew that focusing more on ourselves and streamlining our systems was the key to making everything work. But the reality was, we were so overwhelmed that even implementing solutions felt impossible.
In preparation for a short vacation, we found ourselves putting in extra work to ensure key aspects of our business were automated while we were away. That’s when it hit us: we had invested so much effort into systematizing and automating our business, yet we hadn’t done the same for our personal growth and lives.
When we returned from our trip, the realization became crystal clear: when it came to our personal growth and goals, we didn’t need to work harder—we needed to work smarter. By systematizing our personal development, we could make growth both simple and automatic.
The answers weren’t in chasing something new—they were in leveraging what we already had. Lessons from our past experiences, reflections, and even our mistakes held the solutions we needed. We didn’t have to overhaul everything; instead, small, consistent steps toward progress were the key to creating lasting change.
We decided to slow down to speed up. For a little while, we put ourselves first, reflecting on what mattered most and systematizing how we approached personal growth.
We started tracking progress, recounting lessons from our lives and those of others, and turning those insights into actionable steps. Over time, we refined a process for breaking growth into simple, manageable actions that fit into daily life—no overwhelm, no burnout.
This process became the foundation for what we now share in the Unlimited Potential Membership.
At first, shifting our focus to systematizing personal growth felt overwhelming. The more we reflected, the more opportunities for improvement we uncovered—it was hard to know where to start. We also realized that not every approach worked for us. Many of the personal development strategies we came across felt rigid or disconnected from our values, leaving us frustrated. On top of that, breaking old habits and finding the time to implement even small changes in a busy life wasn’t easy. But as we stayed consistent, we began to see patterns and solutions emerge. By focusing on small, simple steps and staying true to what aligned with our goals and values, we started creating the kind of change that felt sustainable and empowering.
Now, personal development feels effortless and intentional. Our growth is no longer overwhelming—it’s part of who we are. By systematizing how we approach optimizing our mindset, awareness, and abilities, we’ve made progress automatic.
This transformation is why we created the Unlimited Potential Membership and our podcast, Recounting Life Lessons—to help others simplify their growth journeys, focus on what truly matters, and feel empowered to pursue their goals without stress or burnout.
Today, we’re able to invest in ourselves, our dreams, and our goals while empowering others to do the same. Growth is no longer something we squeeze into our lives—it’s a lifestyle that unlocks freedom, potential, and purpose every day.
