  • Start a "Self-Trust Journal": Each day, write one decision you made that felt right for you, no matter how small it may have been. Over time, you'll train yourself to recognize and honor your inner voice.
  • Write a short statement describing who you want to become: Read it out loud every morning as if it's already true, letting yourself feel the emotions of already living that reality. This can help you become more mindful of what that feels like so you can work to stay in that energy of being.

final thoughts: The power of being

Sometimes we pour way too much of our time and energy into DOING when what we really need to focus on is who we are BEING and trusting ourselves in that process. Our reality is a reflection of who we are.

Your reality is not circumstances, it's the way you view, experience, and respond to those circumstances. Who you are being determines what you have, what you do, what you continue to do, what you won't do, and what you are able to keep once you obtain it. Trusting yourself is what allows that "being" to stay aligned, even when the circumstances feel uncertain or the next step is unclear.

Being is who you are at your core. It includes your identity, values, mindset, emotional state, energy, and the way you show up in the world, regardless of circumstance.

On the other hand, doing is the actions you take. It's the tasks, strategies, and behaviors you engage in to get results.

You can do all the "right" things, but if who you are being is misaligned, your results will feel hollow, won't last, or will require constant force to maintain them. But when your being is aligned, even small actions can create powerful results with less resistance. That kind of alignment begins with the decision to trust yourself enough to follow what feels true, even when it doesn't match the usual plan. 

When we focus more on optimizing our being to align with who we want to become, we remove the resistance required to do the things that will get and keep us our desired results.
